Arco dei Gavi a Verona

Arco dei Gavi a Verona
Verona (Italia)

Built in the second half of the first century A.D., during Flavian period, it is contemporaneous with the more famous Arch of Titus in Rome.
It is similar to the Roman arch. In fact both of them have one supporting arch and two blind windows placed side by side and two facades divided by four Corinthian columns.
The arch of Gavi differs from the other ones because of the presence of a large tympanum and a lower height of the crown of the arch.
