Porta Appia

At present called Porta San Sebastiano, it corresponds to the Porta Capena of the Servian Wall and it was built under Honorius. With a unique barrel-vault, it is flanked by two mighty cylindrical towers and is surmounted by two spaces for the movements of the military guards.
