Year after year thanks to its victories all around the world Roman culture evolved, influenced by the usage and customs of the conquered populations. Contrary to typical conqueres, the Romans brought to the lands over which they had gained dominion, their own customs as a sign that the conquered land ought to be grateful to Rome for having brought to it their culture.
