The Romans had a "practical" attitude towards their gods, that Catone the Elder,
thought there was a contractual relationship between man and his gods. The Latins
used to say do ut des "give to have". They introduced in their Pantheon based on the "Capitoline Triad" (Jupiter, Juno and Minerva) the gods of the various civilizations
they met: Greeks, Egyptians, Syrians and Persians.
They preferred the Greek cults and formed a Greek-roman religion.
