Romulus

According to tradition, Rome for the first two centuries and a half was ruled by seven kings. The first of them Romulus founded and peopled it.
He also had the merit of mingling Romans with Sabines, and of welcoming within the walls, a new people known as Luceri that historians have shown to be of Latin origins.
Romulus ruled from 753 to 716 b.C.
As to his death, the legend tells that he disappeared during a storm, carried off by Mars.
Since than the Romans venerated him with the name of the godQuirino.
