Caligula

Between the two heirs indicated by Tiberio in his will, the elder one Caio called Caligula was elected Emperor. He had just ruled for three years and eight months when he fell victim to a conspiracy, which freed the people from the nightmare of his oddness and cruelties. In fact he thought that his citizens were not loyal to him and started to kill them committing more and more murders, and went out of his mind: it is even said that he wanted to appoint his "horse" as a senator.
He was murdered.
