Ara Pacis

During the reign of Augustus, in the year 9 b.C., in Campo Marzio, Ara Pacis Augustea was consacrated.

Completely made of marble it is adorned with sculptures representing the cerimony of the consacration of the emperor Augustus in the nidst his family.
